24/7 CSU Help Desk * Computer Lab * Student Repair Shop
Renovations for the CSU Computer Lab, Help Desk, and Student Repair Shop on main campus were completed this summer. The lab now features 63 new PC units and 16 new Apple iMacs. Each PC unit is equipped with a Windows 7 operating system, an Intel i5 processor, a 22-inch widescreen LCD monitor, and an expanded list of features and programs, including Microsoft Office 2010. The iMacs include the latest software and dual boot login screens for those who prefer using Windows operating system. There are also two new flatbed scanner units convenient for student usage.
Other new additions to the computer lab include three fully furnished study areas, a counter area for students to use their laptops and a LCD flat screen television.
The student computer repair shop is also open for the fall. The repair shop handles a variety of repairs for desktops and laptops, including virus cleanups, installations, system tune-ups, and overall troubleshooting of issues within your personal system.
The Help Desk is conveniently located in the lab and staff and student assistants are on hand 24 hours a day to assist with any computer related issues.
The Computer Lab, Help Desk and Student Repair Shop are located in room 124 on the first floor of the CCT building and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. General computer usage and printing is available for currently enrolled students and requires up-to-date Novell login credentials. The Student Repair Shop is open from 9am to 5pm weekdays and is available for currently enrolled students only. Computers can be checked into the Help Desk at any time.
