Columbus State Earns Prestigious IACET Accreditation
COLUMBUS, Ga. — Columbus State University Continuing Education has been awarded "authorized provider" accreditation by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training, recognizing a thorough review by IACET.
"Columbus State's Continuing Education is proud of the value we add to the community through such adult training programs as Medical Coding/Billing, Real Estate and Project Management," said Susan Wirt, executive director of CSU Continuing Education. "Our new partnership with IACET puts us in a worldwide network of organizations that have been vetted by third-party experts to ensure the highest possible standards — a demonstration of our commitment to lifelong learning and excellence in all of our programs. We are very pleased to join such a prestigious organization and be listed on their website."
The accreditation period extends for five years and includes all programs offered or created during that time.
To earn authorized provider accreditation, CSU Continuing Education completed a rigorous application process, including a review by an IACET site visitor, and successfully demonstrated adherence to IACET standards addressing the design, development, administration and evaluation of its programs.
"We are pleased to welcome Columbus State as our newest authorized provider organization," said Michael Todd Shinholster, IACET president, founder-principal consultant of Culture Bridge and an international business lecturer at Kennesaw State University. "Columbus State University Continuing Education joins nearly 650 organizations around the globe that have had their programs vetted by third-party experts in continuing education to ensure the highest possible standards are met."
The new status allows Columbus State to use the IACET name and its authorized provider logo on promotional course material. Additionally, CSU Continuing Education is now linked to the IACET website and is recognized as offering the highest quality continuing education and training programs.
