Columbus State's New Student Housing Complex "Topped Out" with Final Beam

COLUMBUS, Ga. --- Columbus State University, Corvias Campus Living and Winter Construction celebrated a significant milestone Friday, November 20 on the construction of CSU's new residence hall, Clearview Hall. Winter held an appreciation cookout to celebrate the building's “topping out,” which is a builder’s rite held when the last beam is placed on top of a building.

Clearview Hall will open fall 2016 and house 540 first-year CSU students. The new building is a result of the Public-Private Partnership between the University System of Georgia and Corvias designed to provide safe, affordable and quality student housing. Corvias acts as the facilities manager of the existing building, Courtyard I, and will maintain both residence halls over the 65-year partnership.
