Columbus State's Online MBA Recognized Nationally
COLUMBUS, Ga. – Columbus State University’s online MBA degree recently was ranked by a prominent website as the best in the country for student satisfaction and the public’s perception of its quality.
The fully online master’s offered by CSU’s Turner College of Business and Computer Science is the University System of Georgia’s WebMBA, a degree offered by a consortium of six schools that are all internationally accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The Georgia WebMBA program recently was evaluated by GetEducated.com, a consumer group that says it publishes online college rankings and online university ratings along the dimensions that matter most to online students themselves: affordability and credibility.
In addition to the ranking of A for “Student Satisfaction” and “Public Perception,” the site also gave the MBA a grade of B for “Affordability.”
“We are pleased to see that an independent company is recognizing the quality that we long knew we were delivering in this program,” said Linda Hadley, dean of CSU’s Turner College of Business and Computer Science. “The WebMBA offers a high quality, internationally accredited program at a tremendous value."
CSU joined the Georgia WebMBA consortium about two years ago to deliver an accelerated degree with the same quality and service offered on campus. CSU's Turner College is also accredited by the AACSB, a distinction earned by only 27 percent of the nation's business schools.
The MBA is an advanced general-purpose management degree that prepares students for administrative positions in business, industry or government. The WebMBA curriculum places an emphasis on global business, human behavior, organizations, accounting, operations, marketing, finance, management information systems, and the impact these topics make on managerial decision-making. The program focuses on the practical application of these tools, techniques and concepts.
Teamwork, the international context of business and the ethical dimensions of managerial decisions are stressed throughout the program. The WebMBA focuses on applying knowledge and skills in real business settings through team-based learning. Students working full-time find that team and cohort-based courses help them learn from each other while providing a support network.
The program opens three cohorts in fall and spring with students taking two courses each semester for five consecutive semesters. The program’s cost is well below the national average. Find out more online at http://mba.colstate.edu/.
