Columbus State Small Co-Ed Cheerleading Team Wins National Championship

Orlando, FL – The Columbus State Small Co-Ed Cheerleading team won the Universal Cheerleaders Association National Championship earlier this afternoon in Orland, Florida. It was the fourth National Championship for the Small Co-Ed Cheerleading Team in school history.
CSU was an automatic qualifier into the finals after placing first in the qualifying rounds prior to the National Championship competition.
The University of Southern Indiana was the runner-up followed by Iowa Western Community College. Wilmington University and Riverside City College rounded out the Top 5.
It was the second National Champion for Columbus State at the 2011 UCA Championship as Tommy Goforth and Ali Anderson won the Partner Stunt competition last night.
The Large Co-Ed team enters the competition as the third seed and will be performing later this evening.
