Columbus State to Host Atlanta Beat-FSU Soccer Exhibition Game

COLUMBUS, Ga. – Columbus State University will host its first women’s professional soccer event on Sunday, March 20, when the Atlanta Beat takes on Florida State University.

“We are very excited about hosting this event and giving Columbus exposure to professional soccer,” said CSU women’s soccer coach Jay Entlich. “This will be a great way for families to spend a Sunday afternoon watching the highest level of women’s soccer in the nation.”

The Atlanta Beat is a member of the Women’s Professional Soccer league and plays regular season games at Kennesaw State University. The Beat will take on a strong Florida State squad, which advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals in the fall 2010 season, at 3 p.m. at CSU’s Walden Soccer Complex.

Tickets for the event will go on sale soon at $12 for adults and $9 for ages 6-18.Children 5 and younger will be admitted free. For more information, contact Entlich at or at 706-507-8055.
