Columbus State University Closes for Hurricane Michael
Out of an abundance of caution and in preparation for Hurricane Michael, Columbus State University is cancelling all classes and business operations as of noon today and through Thursday, Oct. 11. Regular operations will resume Friday morning.
This closure applies to all classes, events scheduled on campus, practices, rehearsals and business operations. All campus facilities should be vacated, except for essential personnel such as university police and Residence Life staff.
The last campus shuttle will depart main campus at 6:15 p.m.
Campus dining facilities will close today at 6 p.m. Provided staff are able to get into their facilities tomorrow, breakfast will begin serving at 9 a.m. in the Cougar Cafe and the Den downtown.
If any further changes are needed in campus operations, CSU will provide notification first to faculty, staff and students through CougarAlert.
