CSU College of Business Earns Continued Accreditation

COLUMBUS, Ga.- Columbus State University’s D. Abbott Turner College of Business has once again received a stamp of approved excellence by earning continued accreditation from AACSB International - Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

First accredited in 2004, the Turner College must maintain rigorous standards to continue its accreditation from AACSB International, the premier and longest serving global accrediting body for business schools. Only about a quarter of the nation’s business schools have earned this distinction.

“It takes a great deal of commitment and determination to earn and maintain AACSB accreditation,” said Jerry Trapnell, executive vice president and chief accreditation officer of AACSB International. “Schools not only must meet specific standards of excellence, but their deans, faculties and staffs make a commitment to ongoing improvement to ensure that the institution will continue to deliver high quality education to students.”

CSU’s Business Dean Linda Hadley said the reaccreditation process takes a great deal of work and unwavering commitment from both the faculty and administration.

“I’m very proud of this distinction. It is widely recognized by graduate programs and employers, and enhances the value of our students' degrees,” Hadley said.
