CSU Communication Major Selected as Spokesperson for Car Dealership
COLUMBUS, Ga. - Jasmine Jones, a junior communication major at Columbus State University, has won the Legacy Chevrolet Spokesperson Scholarship Contest.
Jones, right, from Lawrenceville, Ga., was among finalists featured in a public, online vote during early May on the dealership's website.
Jones will receive a $5,000 scholarship to support her education at CSU and serve as the Legacy Chevrolet dealership spokesperson for one year, which includes appearing in television and radio commercials.
Runner-up Cassie Lee, left, a CSU senior communication major-business minor from Columbus, received a $1,500 Dealer's Scholarship and also will appear in Legacy’s TV and radio commercials.
The remaining three finalists also received scholarships. Sahara McCrary, who graduated this year from Spencer High School, earned $1,000, while Kansas Bayly, a CSU communication major from Lilburn, Ga., and Abby Blankenship, a senior theatre major from Albany, Ga., received $750 and $500 respectively.
