CSU Happenings Aug. 28-Sept. 3

AUG. 28-29 - JIM BLANCHARD LEADERSHIP FORUM TO FEATURE ZELL MILLER
Columbus State Universitys Cunningham Center for Leadership Development, with Synovus, will present the inaugural Jim Blanchard Leadership Forum on Monday and Tuesday. The event begins Monday at 6:30 p.m. with an address by former governor and U.S. senator Zell Miller at the Columbus Convention and Trade Center. The cost is $50 per person or $400 for a table of eight.

The forum concludes Tuesday at the Cunningham Center for Leadership Development on the CSU campus. Speakers will be Sen. Sam Nunn; Judge Griffin Bell, the 72nd U.S. Attorney General; and Command Sgt. Major Marvin Hill, who will introduce videotaped remarks by Lt. Gen. Russ Honor, who led the militarys efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. AUG. 29 - CSU CHORALE TO HOLD WEEKLY OPEN REHEARSALS
The CSU Chorale is holding open rehearsals from 7:30-9:45 p.m. Tuesdays at the Schwob School of Music, Room 1714 in the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts. The CSU Chorale is under the direction of professor Constantina Tsolainou. Fall performances will be in Legacy Hall on Oct. 5 and Nov. 9. SEPT. 3 - NCAA SOCCER: CSU TO HOST WEST GEORGIA
The Columbus State University womens soccer squad opens its home season with a match against West Georgia, 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 3 at the CSU Soccer Complex.
