FEBRUARY 10 - “The Battle of Columbus” Spring Lecture Series: Lecture No. 1


Columbus State’s Ivey Center for The Cultural Approach to History will host a spring lecture series titled  “An Historical and Anthropological Perspective of The Battle of Columbus and The Local Experience During The Civil War,” beginning Tuesday, Feb. 10. Today’s lecture, beginning at 6 p.m. in the Center for Commerce and Technology, will feature guest speakers:

Columbus State’s Office of Diversity Programs and Services will host its inaugural Dinner and Discussion event, SHADES, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17 in the Columbus Room. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in dialogue on the subject of skin color, various stigmas and issues that are associated with skin color, the process of embracing one’s identity, and breaking the stereotypes faced in our society. FEBRUARY 18 - “Let’s Make a Slave”: The Willie Lynch Letter
