JULY 14 — Oxbow Meadows’ Wild Wednesdays Series Continues
Columbus State’s Oxbow Meadows Environmental Learning Center continues its Wild Wednesdays weekly series 10 a.m. Wednesday as Amy Kowatch of Fort Benning’s Parent to Parent organization reads Are You My Mother? Following the story-reading, participants will build bird feeders. The series, based on story-reading, craft projects and other activities, is designed for ages 5-10. However, all ages are welcome. JULY 15-16 - Main Campus Residence Life Orientation
Columbus State will hold an orientation Thursday and Friday, July 15-16, for new students entering CSU this fall and residing in main-campus apartments. Check-in is 8:30-10 a.m. in the University Hall gallery. Academic advisement and course registration on the second day will conclude the orientations. The cost is $100 per student and $70 per accompanying family member. Guests must use alternative overnight accommodations. THROUGH JULY 30 — Activ8, Space, Sports Camps
Columbus State University weekly summer camps for children and young teens continues with Continuing Education’s Activ8 series, space camps at CSU’s Coca-Cola Space Science Center and sports camps coordinated by the CSU athletic department. Following the Independence Day observance, camps resume Tuesday, July 6 and run weekly through July 30. For more information, go to:

Columbus State’s Coca-Cola Space Science Center will stage an evening of stargazing and planet viewing 9 p.m. Monday from Callaway Gardens’ Overlook Pavilion near Pine Mountain.
