CSU Happenings for Nov. 21-30, 2012

NOV. 21-23 – Thanksgiving Break
CSU students and faculty will have no classes Wednesday-Friday, Nov. 21-23 as CSU closes for Thanksgiving break. CSU offices will be closed Thursday-Friday, Nov. 22-23. 

NOV. 27 – European Union Roundtable
CSU’s Center for International Education is sponsoring a European Union Roundtable forum from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27 in the International House’s Spencer Event Hall. Marina Dabic (CSU's Fort Foundation scholar), Kyle Christensen (political science and public administration), Kirk Heriot (Turner College of Business) and Tobias Huning (Turner College of Business) will be roundtable discussants. Free. 

NOV. 28 – CSU Contemporary Ensemble and CSU Jazz Combos

 NOV. 29 – CSU Jazz Band featuring Clay Jenkins

 NOV. 30 – Holiday Concert

NOV. 30 – Songs of Viktor Ullmann by Paula Sides and Jonathan Gale
A Columbus State University alumna, soprano Paula Sides, and pianist Jonathan Gale present a lecture recital on the songs of Viktor Ullmann at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30 in RiverCenter’s Legacy Hall. Ullmann, a student of the famous composer Arnold Schoenberg, died in a Nazi concentration camp in Germany during the Holocaust.  Sides, a Gold Medal winner at London's Royal Music Conservatory, is currently performing with Opera North in England.
