JULY 28 - RANKIN ARTS EXPLORERS OPEN HOUSE
Columbus State Universitys Rankin Arts Center will stage its annual Arts Extravaganza Open House, 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 28 in the Rankin Building, second floor, 1004 Broadway, Columbus. The event is free and open to the public.
This art show includes drawings, paintings, and fantastic 3-D works of art created by children in the K-5 grade levels, who participated in the 2006 Arts Explorers summer camps. This years theme was Picture Yourself at the Rankin Arts Center with campers exploring the themes, techniques and inspirations of master artists Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Butch Anthony, Vincent van Gogh, Leonardo da Vinci, Romare Bearden, Faith Ringgold and Andy Warhol. JULY 31-AUG. 3 - TENNIS TO CLOSE OUT SUMMER CAMP SERIES
Columbus State University tennis coach Evan Isaacs and CSU players will direct participants, ages 4-18, in a tennis camp covering fundamentals such as backhand and forehand swings, and incorporating various drills and match play. The camp will run 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday at CSUs Blackmon Tennis Center. The fee is $100 per person, per camp. For more information, call 706-568-2317.

AUG. 3 - DEADLINE FOR FALL SEMESTER FEE PAYMENTS, EARLY REGISTRATION
Students enrolling in Columbus State University classes for fall 2006 must pay tuition and fees by the end of Thursday, Aug, 3. This deadline also applies for the early registration period.
