CSU Happenings March 2-9

MARCH 2-3 NCAA BASEBALL: CSU HOSTS GEORGIA COLLEGE AND STATE
The CSU baseball squad will host Georgia College and State at 5 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday at Ragsdale Field. MARCH 3 CSU TO HOST INVITATIONAL MATHEMATICS TOURNAMENT
The CSU Department of Mathematics will stage its annual CSU Invitational Mathematics Tournament for regional high school students on Saturday, March 3. The daylong event will feature a 1-2:30 p.m. ciphering competition and 2:45-3 p.m. awards ceremony, both in Stanley 203 and open to the public.

MARCH 5-9 SPRING BREAK: NO CLASSES AT CSU

MARCH 9 - CSU TO HOST SPRING LITERACY CONFERENCE
CSU will host the Muscogee Reading Associations Spring Literacy Conference from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Friday, March 9 on the second floor of the Davidson Student Center, with activities in both the auditorium and Columbus Room.

The event, themed The Science of Reading: What Every Classroom Teacher Should Know, will feature informal discussion and poster sessions on research and strategies, plus door prizes and refreshments. Among the presentations, Columbus High School senior Kaitlin Solomon will read the essay that earned her the Georgia Reader of the Year Award (high school division) during the Feb. 15-16 Georgia Reading Association Conference in Atlanta.

The Muscogee Reading Association is a CSU-Muscogee County School District collaborative program housed in the College of Education.
