NOV. 22-24 - CSU TO CLOSE FOR THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY
CSU will be closed Wednesday through Friday, Nov. 22-24 for the Thanksgiving holiday. Operations will resume on Monday, Nov. 27.
NOV. 24 - NCAA MENS BASKETBALL: CSU TO HOST WEST GEORGIA
Columbus State Universitys mens basketball squad will host the University of West Georgia in a non-conference game at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24 in the Lumpkin Center. NOV. 29 - MAX LIFCHITZ AND THE CSU PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE TO PERFORM
CSUs Schwob School of Music will feature composer-pianist Max Lifchitz in concert with the CSU Percussion Ensemble at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29 in the RiverCenters Legacy Hall. Lifchitz is CSUs 2006 Elena Diaz-Verson Amos Eminent Scholar in Latin American studies. General admission is $5 and free for faculty, staff and students with CSU ID. NOV. 30 - CSU HORN CHOIR TO GIVE FREE RECITAL
CSUs Schwob School of Music will feature the CSU Horn Choir in a free recital at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30 in the RiverCenters Legacy Hall. The program will include an arrangement from Hansel and Gretel, along with original music for horn choir. including premieres of new works by CSU students and faculty. DEC. 1- FINAL APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR SPRING SEMESTER
Friday, Dec. 1 is the deadline to apply for spring 2007 enrollment at Columbus State University. For more information, call 706-568-2035 or visit http://admissions.colstate.edu. The admissions office is located in Fine Arts Hall and is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
DEC. 1 CSU TO STAGE WORLD AIDS DAY BENEFIT EVENT
Columbus State University students will showcase their talents in a World AIDS Day entertainment event for all ages at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1 in the Fine Arts Hall auditorium. The program will feature musical, dance and theatrical performances by campus organizations including Genesis Gospel Choir, Revelations Dance Ministry, African Students Organization, the CSU Hispanic Association and students from the Department of Theatre.
Admission is $4 per person with proceeds going to the Columbus Health Departments District Clinical Services program, which provides free HIV/AIDS resources to the community. The event is sponsored by the CSU chapter of the Eta Sigma Gamma professional health education honor society.
