CSU, Partners Launch Annual Fund
Targeting slightly more than $1.37 million, CSU recently launched its 2005-06 Annual Fund with a luncheon and gathering of approximately 150 campaign volunteers at the Cunningham Center.
The campaign will culminate with the 12th annual CSU Day on March 30. Many of the same volunteers who formally launched the campaign on Sept. 15 will personally thank campaign donors with yard signs and balloon bouquets.
Separate from the An Investment in People capital campaign, the annual fund supports academic and athletic scholarships, new technology, international studies and community outreach programs.
This years campaign will include more than 450 fund-raising volunteers from CSU and several Columbus-area businesses.
Comprising this years Annual Fund steering committee are Sherry Wade (chair), Mark Holladay (past chair), George Flowers (chair-elect), Kelly Prigden (alumni), Tim Farmer (corporations), Cissy Giglio (CSU Day), Averett Davis (CSU Day chair-elect), Shawn Cruzen and Nancy Marino (faculty/staff), Polly Miller and Kay Saunders (foundations) and Wade Burford and Scott Voynich (Tower Society).
CSU Annual Fund Director Meri Robinson said she anticipates continued success in the current campaign. As I approach each new annual fund, Im always amazed and encouraged by the response of our volunteers and our community. The partnership forged between the university and the community we serve is changing the lives of our students and our citizens, for the better, every day.
