CSU's Department of Theatre Makes It Easy for You to See an Upcoming Show

Dear CSU Faculty and Staff,

We would love to have you join us for our 5th summer season of “The Columbus Repertory Theatre.” Here’s a few things you may or may not know about the shows produced by the Department of Theatre at CSU:

REGULAR SEASON SHOWS: CSU faculty and staff get 2 free tickets to all our regular season shows. Just show your current CSU Identification when you pick up your tickets. We really appreciate having our colleagues in the audience, and we think you will truly enjoy what our department has to offer.

SUMMER THEATRE: (“The Columbus Rep.”) We have to pay closer attention to the bottom line in order to sustain these productions, and there are a great many expenses involved. However, we still want to do something special to encourage faculty and staff to attend. During the summer, we offer CSU employees “Buy One Get One Free” on their tickets. (Again, just show your ID.) We hope you’ll agree, it’s still the best deal in town!

THE SHOWS: This summer we are producing an uproarious Farce, a blockbuster Musical, and a classic Children’s show.

Unnecessary Farce. (Beginning May 21st.) “Two cops. Three Crooks, Eight Doors. Go!” This production is “Bring Your Own Dinner” Dinner Theatre. The theatre space includes tables for dining, so just pick up a meal from your favorite restaurant or pack a picnic. This idea was a big hit last season.

Spamalot. (Beginning June 11th.) “Lovingly ripped off from the 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail.” The original 2005 production was nominated for 14 Tony Awards, winning 3—including Best Musical.

Lyle the Crocodile. (Beginning June 11th.) "The classic children’s story of a friendly crocodile who turns up in a bathroom in a NYC apartment." Great fun for the entire family.

For details, please call the box office at 706-507-8444 or visit our webpage: www.columbusstate.edu/theatre.

Come in from the summer heat and enjoy the shows!
