CSU Staff Member Receives Award
Lashica Thomas, Assistant Director of Operations and Marketing at CSU's Campus Recreation, recently received the Juliette Moore Distinguished Leadership Award from the National Intramural Recreation Sports Association (NIRSA).
Established by NIRSA's People of Color Planning Committee in 2003, the award seeks to recognize those individuals who best exemplify the hard work and dedication that go into the continuing creation of a diverse and inclusive community. The award's namesake, Ms. Juliette Moore, was the first African-American Female NIRSA President and the founder of the POC planning committee. Moore continues to be a mentor to hundreds of students and professionals across the country.
