CSU’s Discovery Day Opens Up Campus to Prospective Students and Families

COLUMBUS, Ga - Columbus State University will welcome prospective students and guests to campus on Saturday, Feb. 21 for Discovery Day, a program designed to make the college search process easier on students and their families.

Discovery Day is a comprehensive half-day event open to all prospective students, including high school students, transfer students, graduate students, and adults interested in starting or finishing their degrees. Information on financial aid and scholarships, admission requirements, and student life will be readily available, and attendees will have the opportunity to engage with current students, speak with faculty, and tour campus.

“Choosing a college can be overwhelming for students and parents who must consider location, affordability, and academics in their decisions,” said Tom Hackett, interim president for Columbus State University. “We hope to ease some of that burden by offering students a chance to learn everything they need to know about CSU in one day.”

Columbus State also will host a Junior Discovery Day on Saturday, March 7 for high school juniors entering the college search process.

Due to limited space, attendees must pre-register online at http://admissions.columbusstate.edu/tours/index.php#discovery or by calling 706-507-8800.
