Early Registration Available for CSU Activ8 Summer Programs
COLUMBUS, Ga. - Parents are invited to register their children early for Columbus State University’s Continuing Education’s award-winning Activ8 summer enrichment programs for ages 4-14. The programs will run June 1-July 30. Registration by April 15 includes a 5 percent discount.
CSU debuted Activ8 in 2008, and the program earned the 2009 Georgia Adult Education Association Outstanding Innovative Programming Award.
Participants can build their own weekly schedules from eight or more morning and afternoon classes under the categories 3 R’s, Create-A-Lot, Global, iTech, Scienceologies, Showbiz, Sports/dance, Trendy and UR Life.
The main Activ8 program is broken down into classes for age groups 8-11 and 11-14. There also is a program for 4-7-year olds at the Elizabeth Bradley Turner Center.
Between the morning and afternoon classes, all Activ8 campers can eat lunches brought from home during a supervised lunch hour in the university’s main campus cafeteria. The program also includes a “before care” option so children can be dropped off anytime after 7 a.m. and an “after care” option so children can stay on campus until 6 p.m.
For more information and to register, call 706-507-8070 and request an Activ8 catalog or go online to http://www.activ8er.com/.
