Columbus State University Continuing and Professional Education's Empowered Youth of Columbus's 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) program was awarded the Boys & Girls Club Champion of Youth award on Thursday, July 19th at Boys & Girls Club's annual meeting.

The annual Champion of Youth award is given to a Chattahoochee Valley resident or organization who makes a difference in the lives of area youth. Award recipients have dedicated their time, talent and resources to enhancing the programs that the Boys & Girls Clubs provide.

The 21st CCLC program provides academic enrichment and support in core subject readiness and success; social-cognitive skill development to reduce indicators for future criminal activity; and educational activities for the entire family that promote future achievement and success.
