English Professor on the Move
Dr. Seon Jeon, Associate Professor of English at Columbus State University, was recently awarded a grant, accepted for publication, and received an opportunity to present.
Her paper “Sorry! Apology strategies in ESL learners” was accepted for publication in the September issue of The Linguistic Association of Korea Journal.
She will present her paper “Transitioning from student to Teacher” at the Korean Association of Teachers of English International Conference in Seoul, South Korea.
She also received an Interdisciplinary Initiative Grant from the Faculty Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning for a teaching project with Dr. Shamim Khan of Computer Science to develop an honors class on computational linguistics for spring 2018.
