Fall 2018 Semester Begins at Columbus State University

Students at Columbus State University begin classes today for the fall 2018 semester. A series of Cougar Kickoff events are scheduled over the next two weeks to jump start the 2018-2019 academic year.

Among the welcome back events planned are picnics on both the main and RiverPark campuses, a group bike ride, comedy show, and a night of bowling. There will also be a premiere of the movie Still, an award-winning film in which several CSU students worked on the set.

The annual CSU Day of Service returns on Aug. 25 as students, faculty, and staff complete projects at more than 40 different site locations. This year's service day is expected to be the largest in CSU's history.

The opportunities expand into the following week with a live student simulcast of the Jim Blanchard Leadership Forum.
