Headliners Announced for Sales Development Conference

COLUMBUS, Ga. -- Columbus State University’s Cunningham Sales Institute will hold its annual Sales Development Conference Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 18-19 at CSU’s Cunningham Center for Leadership Development.

Themed “Call to Action! Power Up for Sales Excellence,” the conference provides seven hours of professional development and networking for all sales professionals including sales managers, sales and marketing executives, business owners, representatives and support staff.

Keynote presenters are Brian Parsley, speaker, author, and chief operating officer of the Charlotte, N.C.-based Jeffrey Gitomer company, BuyGitomer, Inc.; Austin McGonigle, president of Atlanta-based Success Cycle, Inc.; and Luke Mansour, director of sales for Synovus in Columbus. The trio will demonstrate how to create more effective sales organizations and yield higher sales, productivity and customer satisfaction.

The conference opens Sept. 18 with general sessions from 4-6 p.m. and a 6-7 p.m. networking reception. A keynote breakfast the next morning from 8-9 a.m. will be followed by general sessions through 12:15 p.m.

Brian ParsleyParsley, a certified professional behavior analyst, specializes in sales, customer loyalty and employee retention. His seminars provide insight to the connection between employee behavior and bottom-line results. His clients have included BMW, Centex Homes, Fidelity & Trust Bank, and he has authored the book ”Inspired: How to Hire, Inspire, and Retain Loyal Employees.”

Austin McGonigleMcGonigle, author of the book “Austin’s Money Making Tips,” specializes in developing interaction skills, and has trained thousands of individuals in hundreds of companies. In 1991, the National Speakers Association designated him a “Certified Speaking Professional,” a distinction achieved by less than 300 speakers worldwide. Before founding Success Cycle in 1982, he developed a sales training program for a Fortune 500 company and was vice president of a national training company.

Mansour joined Synovus in 2002 with more than 20 years experience as owner of a family business in the fashion retail industry. He leads the sales effort for commercial and retail in the Synovus Banking Network, and heads a team of regional sales managers that assist the banks in meeting their sales goals. A University of Georgia marketing and advertising degree holder, he graduated in 2006 from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Georgetown University.
