History Maymester Class Visits FSU's Napoleon and French Revolutions Collections

Dr. Bryan Banks, assistant professor of history at Columbus State University, recently led a group of students to view Florida State University's Napoleon and French Revolutions Collections. The trip was part of the HIST 5575: Napoleon Maymester course.

Students on the trip had the opportunity to explore the collection's 10,000 rare books, manuscripts and artifacts. Noteworthy items included Napoleon's Death Mask, journals kept during Napoleonic Wars, and an 1802 map of Gaeta, Italy.
