Important Information Regarding CSU's SACSCOC Accreditation Report

I hope each of you had a good Thanksgiving break - we are on the home stretch for the fall semester.

I am reaching out to full-time faculty asking you to please be on the lookout for requests from your dean, department chair and/or program coordinator to help in responding to our SACSCOC Reaffirmation Focused Report. During the next two and half weeks, all programs on campus will revise and update their Annual Program and Improvement Review reports. The folks who will be doing this work may need to call on individual faculty to provide specific data that demonstrates the extent to which students in your program are meeting the student learning outcomes of the program. If you receive such a request, I ask that you quickly respond with the requested information. We are on a very tight timeline and will need all hands on deck to ensure our compliance and to secure our SACS accreditation. All revised reports are due to Academic Affairs by noon on December 16th.

Please note that one report that is seen as out of compliance will mean all reports are out of compliance, which will result in ongoing monitoring by SACSCOC whereby everyone will be asked to supply extensive assessment reporting on a regular basis. We do not want this to be the outcome.

Thank you in advance for your hard work and timely responses to any requests you may receive. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to call me.

Tom Hackett, Professor
Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs
