Alumni Association Board names new directors, president

The Columbus State University Alumni Association welcomes six directors to its volunteer board of directors, as well as Michelle McIntire ’94 as its new president.

The new directors include:

Arunabha “Arun” Das ’22 of Columbus holds a master of business administration from the Turner College of Business & Technology. As an associate vice president at Deloitte, with more than 18 years experience, he leads enterprise initiatives focused on artificial intelligence, analytics, cloud modernization and digital transformation.

Kimberley Hatcher ’08, ’20 of Fortson, Georgia, holds a bachelor’s in business administration from the Turner College and an Educational Leadership Tier I add-on graduate certification from the College of Education & Health Professions. With nearly two decades of educational and program leadership experience, she currently serves as a director of federal programs and an academic coach. She is also a behavior analyst and founder of Zebra Behavior.

Dedra Mitchell ’12 of Midland, Georgia, holds a master of business administration from the Turner College. A director at Aflac with 20 years of experience in organizational leadership, communications, analytics and strategy, she currently leads persistency and insights work for the company, focused on customer retention, engagement strategy and business performance.

Edwina Price ’10 of Smyrna, Georgia, holds a bachelor’s in health science from the College of Education & Health Professions. Her health-related journey and experience with the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, as well as Morehouse School of Medicine, combined with a master’s in public health administration, led her to establish the How in the Health wellness brand and consulting business.

Eboni Thomas ’09, ’24 of Smiths Station, Alabama, holds a bachelor’s and master of business administration from the Turner College. As a strategic planning specialist for Columbus Water Works, she leads organizational alignment initiatives and cross-functional collaboration. She has been a longtime volunteer of the CSU Black Alumni Council and recently began supporting current students as part of the CSU Mentor Collective.

Kimberly A. Wright ’16, ’17 of Columbus, Georgia, holds an associate degree and a bachelor’s degree in communication from the College of the Arts and is a graduate of the university’s Leadership 360 program. She is the Muscogee County School District’s director of communications and oversees the district’s strategic communications, media relations, public information, branding, marketing and community engagement efforts.

They fill vacancies left by the expiring terms of David Britt ’03, Al Bruni ’82, Melissa Ingle Hammer ’05 and Troy Jackson ’11.

New association executive leadership

Michelle McIntire ’94 of Dawsonville, Georgia, now leads the association as its president. McIntire, who earned a master’s degree in behavioral disorders, is currently a principal consultant with Workday and has focused her career on higher education enrollment services and leading enterprise resource planning implementations.

Joining her as members of the association’s executive team are Candace Lawrence ’03 of Athens, Georgia, as vice president; Quent DeLoach ’10, ’13, ’17 of Columbus as secretary; and Lionel Haynes Jr., CDFM ’06, ’07 of Columbus as immediate past president.

Established in 1960, the CSU Alumni Association represents and provides programming for the university’s 45,000-plus alumni from all 50 states, three U.S. territories and 70 countries worldwide. Membership in the association is free for graduates.

Board members serve three-year terms. Officers serve in their leadership roles for two years and advance in service from secretary to president, then rotate into the immediate past president role.
