Biology Team Adds to International DNA Library

Associate Professor of Biology Kevin Burgess and a team of graduate students from Columbus State University were featured in Bermuda’s The Royal Gazette about their work on a pioneering conservation project to establish plant DNA libraries to document local flora. Samples from 230 island species taken during the March trip were preserved and transported back to CSU laboratories for DNA extraction.
