Business Professors Publish Paper Benefitting Real Estate Professionals

An article by Columbus State’s Andres Jauregui, associate professor of economics, and Alan Tidwell, associate professor of finance, was published in the Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics this semester. The paper, titled “Sample Selection Approaches to Estimating House Price Cash Differentials," extends the literature on house price cash differentials by employing methods to correct for sample selection bias. The results of their study provide useful insights for market participants, including real estate appraisers, brokers, and buyers and sellers of real estate.
