Columbus State Cheerleading Brings Home 2 National Titles

COLUMBUS, Ga. — The Columbus State cheerleading squad brought home two national championships from
Orlando, Fla., in the Universal Cheerleaders Association College Nationals at Walt
Disney World Resort over the weekend.
The prestigious competition showcased the country's best college cheerleaders, dance team performers and mascots.
CSU captured its fifth national title in a decade in the small co-ed division, adding to squad titles won in 2004, 2005, 2008 and 2011. The Cougars have also placed second in the competition twice and have seven runner-up finishes in the large co-ed competition.
Also over the weekend, CSU cheerleaders Tommy Goforth and Ali Anderson won their second partner stunt title. The duo also earned the championship in 2011. Goforth is the just the third male to win two championships, and Ali is the first female to win two titles across all divisions of the NCAA. more >>
