In the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings released on Jan. 24, Columbus State University remains among top-ranked public and regional universities in the South on the publication’s list of “Best Online Programs.” In addition to the strength of its overall online education programs, the university’s business and education online programs were among those specifically cited by U.S. News.

CSU’s online master’s in computer information programs placed among the best nationally in the  65-85 group. As a program in the D. Abbott Turner College of Business’ TSYS School of Computer Science, CSU works closely with regional businesses and industries to understand their needs and create a responsive, state-of-the-art learning environment. Every program and major is current, providing students with a firm foundation in the technologies of today and preparing them for the technologies of tomorrow.

CSU’s Master of Business Administration program ranking for Online Master of Business Administration Program Overall landed at 220th nationally. CSU maintained its ranking of 146th on the list of Best Online Bachelor’s Programs for Business. The Turner College of Business offers nine graduate programs, 12 undergraduate programs, and numerous certifications. The business programs are accredited by AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

CSU was among the Best Online Master’s Education Program Overall ranked institutions, ranking among the 242-321 cohort nationally. The College of Education and Health Professions program equips Georgia teachers with the training and certifications necessary to advance in their careers.

CSU ranked 252nd in Best Online Bachelor’s Program Overall among top public regional universities in the South. The ranking looks at factors including tuition costs, graduation rates and faculty resources. Rankings in these areas are based on two types of data: expert opinions about program excellence and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school's faculty, research and students.

Since 2013, the report has recognized online programs using four categories: engagement, service and technologies, faculty credentials and training, and expert opinions from academic officials.

Columbus State’s online program, CSU Online, supports distance learners by offering 39 flexible and convenient degree programs. CSU Online is an approved institution by the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements, a council that works to oversee postsecondary distance education.
