Columbus State Student Wins Horseback Riding Competition
September 18, 2019

“I felt very fortunate that all of the pieces were able to come together over the competition weekend,” said Barlow. “Of course we always try our hardest but there are so many things that can go wrong no matter how well you prepare. I was very proud of Peter that weekend, and to walk away with the 1st place ribbon was just the cherry on top. Moving forward, I’m going to remember that feeling of success and use it to work harder towards all of my future equestrian goals!”
Barlow is a senior majoring in Political Science, with a minor in Business. She has been riding in competitions since she was five years old. She works for the Poplar Place Farm, training with Werner Geven.
