WinterFest, Columbus State University’s annual community event, resumes its in-person celebration of various winter holidays. This year’s kickoff will be Tuesday, Nov. 30, at 6 p.m. and will include a tree-lighting and ribbon-cutting ceremony on CSU’s Main Campus.

Following the opening ceremony, campus guests are invited to walk around campus until 8 p.m. The night will include performances, arts and crafts, and a light tour. A livestream of the performances by local performers will also be available for viewing.

As part of the festivities, “Cougars for Causes” will provide the community to support the CSU Food Pantry with donations of nonperishable food items. WinterFest guests are invited to donate an item at drop boxes located throughout the event grounds.

Following the Nov. 30 kickoff, the campus will be open to visitors to view the lit displays from 5:30 to 10 p.m. nightly, through Dec. 29.

This year’s WinterFest is hosted by Columbus State University and sponsored by the CSU Alumni Association, J. Smith Lanier & Co., Morgan Stanley, 88.5 FM WCUG Cougar Radio, and the City of Columbus.
