DEC. 10 - WOMENS BASKETBALL: CSU vs. WEST GEORGIA, SPARKS SEEKS 300TH WIN
The Columbus State University Lady Cougars basketball squad will host West Georgia
for a game at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10 at the Lumpkin Center. General admission is
$5 and free for military personnel and CSU faculty, staff and students, with appropriate
ID. The contest stands to produce a milestone as CSU head coach Jay Sparks seeks his
300th career win with the Lady Cougars. Sparks, after coaching at Brookstone and Hardaway
high schools, arrived at CSU in 1989 as the womens basketball programs first head

DEC. 11 - OXBOW MEADOWS SECOND SUNDAY: HOLIDAY DECORATIONS
Columbus State Universitys Oxbow Meadows Environmental Learning Center will present
Natural Holiday Decorations at 2 p.m. Sunday as part of its Second Sunday Series.
The program will cover how to make decorations from natural products. Participants
will be able to design and take home tree decorations using twigs, cones, natural
fibers and more. Admission is $1 and free for children ages 4 and under. For more

DEC. 11 - CSU HORN CHOIR RECITAL AT COLUMBUS PUBLIC LIBRARY
The Columbus State University Horn Choir, director by CSU music professor Kristen
Hansen, will perform a recital at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11 in the Columbus Library.
The performance will feature a variety of musical styles, from Bach to Jingle Bells.

DEC. 12 FALL SEMESTER CLASSES END
Monday is the final day of fall semester classes at Columbus State University, Final
exams will begin the following day, Tuesday, and continue through Monday, Dec. 19.
DEC. 16 - SPRING 2006 APPLICATION DEADLINE
The application deadline for spring 2006 enrollment at Columbus State University
is Friday, Dec. 16. Prospective students may apply to CSU by one of the following
processes:

DEC. 18 - FALL GRADUATION CEREMONY
Columbus State Universitys fall 2005 commencement, recognizing approximately 380
degree recipients, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18 in the Lumpkin Center. Seating
for guests, beginning at 1:30 p.m., will be conducted on a first-come, first-served
basis. Shuttles will be available to transport guests from parking lots throughout
campus.
The CSU Bookstore will have items available for purchase on the second floor lobby of the Lumpkin Center before the ceremony. A Webcast of the proceedings will be available via the fall 2005 commencement Web site at http://graduation.colstate.edu. For more information, call 568-2030.
CSU will award an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters to Aaron Cohn, juvenile court judge for the Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit. The commencement address will be delivered by Douglas C. Pullen, Superior Court judge in the Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit.
