APRIL11 – Viola Concert
CSU'sSchwob School of Music will host a concert featuring faculty artist Zoran Jakovcic at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 11 in RiverCenter's Legacy Hall. Jakovcic, who plays the viola, will be accompanied by faculty artists Alexander Kobrin , Wendy Warner and Paul Vaillancourt in performing works by Bach, Brahms, Hindemith and Bouchard. APRIL12 – Sustainability Fair
Columbus State's Oxbow Meadows Environmental Learning Center will host a Sustainability Fair and a Picnic for the Planet from 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, April 12 at the center, 3535South Lumpkin Road. This event is among the highlights of a month-long series of events focusing on sustainability. There will be more than two dozen exhibits and vendors. Participants include university groups with anenvironmental connection, such as the CSU Geology Club and environmental science program, local organizations such as Trees Columbus and national organizations with local affiliates such as The Nature Conservancy.

APRIL12 – Chamber Singers and Concert Chorale
CSU's Schwob School of Music will host a concert by CSU's Chamber Singers and ConcertChorale at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 12 in RiverCenter's Legacy Hall. APRIL13 – CSU Baseball
Columbus State's baseball squad continues its 2012 season against Georgia Southwestern at 6 p.m. Friday, April 13 at Ragsdale Field. APRIL14 – CSU Baseball

ColumbusState's baseball squad continues its 2012 season against Georgia Southwesternat 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday, April 14 at Ragsdale Field. APRIL14 – 11th Annual Reptile Fest
Columbus State's Oxbow MeadowsEnvironmental Learning Center will host its 11th annual Reptile Fest from11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, April 14 at the center, 3535 South Lumpkin Road. Festival guests will enjoy animal touch tanks interpreted by Jody Karlin of Just Add Water, Southeastern Reptile Rescue's 30-foot Reptile Wagon, local and exotic reptiles, face painting, tortoise feeding station, jump house, crafts and more. Admission is $5.

APRIL14 – Kaleidoscope Concert
CSU's Schwob School of Music will host its annual Kaleidoscope concert at 7:30 p.m.Saturday, April 14 in RiverCenter's Bill Heard Theatre. Featuring the school's students and faculty, this kaleidoscope of performances features over 250 musicians performing a wide range of musical styles. All of the school's large ensembles participate, as well as a selection of award-winning soloists and chamber ensembles. Admission is $20. APRIL15 – Warner-Kobrin Performance
CSU's Schwob School of Music hosts a concert by internationally acclaimed faculty artists and former child prodigies Alexander Kobrin and WendyWarner at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 15 in RiverCenter's Legacy Hall. Kobrin and Warner perform Shostakovich's Sonata for Cello and Piano and Rachmaninoff's Sonata for Cello and Piano, considered two of the greatest masterpieces of Russian chamber music. APRIL16 – Guitar and Voice Recital
CSU's Schwob School of Music will host a concert by its voice and guitar students at 4 p.m. Monday, April 16 in RiverCenter's Legacy Hall. APRIL18 – Trio 488 Concert
CSU'sSchwob School of Music will host a concert by Trio 488 at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday,April 18 in RiverCenter's Legacy Hall. Trio 488 is made up of the applied music faculty at Texas State University, performing on bassoon, oboe and piano. The group's goal is to share and promote the creation of music written for this combination. Trio 488 has performed all around the country and been invited to perform at the International Double Reed Society in London, the International Conference in Arts and Humanities in Honolulu and Southwestern Chapter of College Music Society Conference. APRIL19 – President's Recognition Dinner
The CSU Alumni Association hosts its annual President's Recognition Dinner at 7p.m. Thursday, April 19 at the Cunningham Center. Aflac co-founder Paul S. Amos will be presented the Frank D. Brown Achievement and Leadership ExcellenceAward, which recognizes an individual or organization that exemplifies theleadership skills and ideals of its namesake, CSU's retired third president. Jean M. Hartin, retired vice president of clinical services at Columbus Regional Health System, will be presented the Thomas Y. Whitley Distinguished Alumnus Award, named for CSU's founding president. Jo Ann N. Brown, Kayron M. Laska, Anthony D. "Tony" Link and John A. Shinkle will also be named honorary alumni at the dinner. The evening opens with a 6:30 p.m. reception. APRIL19 – CSU Wind Ensemble Concert
The CSU Wind Ensemble has its final concert of the season at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 19 in RiverCenter's Legacy Hall. Alfred Watkin  s, director of the award-winning Lassiter High School Band in Marietta, Ga., for 30-plus years, guest conducts Ron Nelson's Rocky Point Holiday. Faculty artist Brad Palmer performs John Mackey's Harvest: Concerto for Trombone, originally written for Joseph Alessi, trombonist of the New York Philharmonic.David Maslanka's Symphony No. 4, featuring faculty artist Joseph Golden on organ, closes the year with a work that uses themes from Bach and the famous doxology chorale, Old Hundreth. APRIL20 – Alabama Fiction Writers Reading
The Carson McCullers Center for Writers and Musicians and New Plains Press will host a reading at 7 p.m. Friday, April 20 at the center, 1519 Stark Ave. This reading will feature members of the East Alabama Mystic Order of Fiction Writers. Admission is free.
