April 15-16, 20 - NCAA Baseball
The CSU baseball squad hosts the following games at Ragsdale Field:
* April 15-16: Georgia Southwestern, 6 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday

April 16 - Kaleidoscope Concert
About 250 student musicians will perform in the Schwob School of Music’s Kaleidoscope Concert 7:30 p.m. Saturday in RiverCenter’s Heard Theatre. Designed as a musical kaleidoscope, the concert involves student musicians from performing various music styles from different areas of the theater. All of the school’s large ensembles participate, as well as award-winning soloists and chamber ensembles. Admission is $20. April 16 - Astronomy Night
Columbus State’s Coca-Cola Space Science Center hosts an Astronomy Night program of stargazing and planet viewing Saturday at the center, 701 Front Ave. An 8 p.m. planetarium presentation is followed by telescope viewing at 9 p.m. The program is free. April 17 - Percussion Ensemble
The CSU Percussion Ensemble, directed by Schwob School of Music professor Paul Vaillancourt, will perform at 2 p.m. Sunday in RiverCenter’s Legacy Hall. The program will include ragtime and novelty music from the 1920s and more. Admission is free. April 17 - Trombone Ensembles

April 18 - Faculty Trombone Recital
Schwob School of Music faculty trombonist Bradley Palmer gives a recital 7:30 p.m. Monday in RiverCenter’s Legacy Hall. Joined by collaborative pianist Yien Wang, Palmer will perform pieces by Weber, Ewazen, De Falla and others. Admission is free. April 20-21 - Sustainability Week Lectures
Columbus State University will host environmentally-focused lectures in the Center for Commerce and Technology by Dana Mitchell, research engineer for the U.S. Forestry Service and Roger Martin, executive director of Chattahoochee RiverWarden . The presentations are part of CSU’s Sustainability Week to promote health and wellness as well as environmental awareness in conjunction with Earth Day on April 22. April 21 - Relay for Life Rally
Columbus State University’s Center for Career Development hosts a Relay for Life Rally from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday at the campus clock tower. April 21 - Reception for 'Recollection and Reflection: A Collective Journey from Japan'
Columbus State's Department of Art presents a reception for the April 18-24 exhibition, "Recollection and Reflection: a collective journey from Japan," from 5-7 p.m. Thursday in the Corn Center's Bay Gallery. The multimedia exhibition is organized by students and faculty who recently returned from a study abroad program in Kiryu, Japan and Tokyo. The exhibition includes audio recording, book journal and video projection. Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. April 21 - CSU Wind Ensemble
The CSU Wind Ensemble gives its final concert of the year 7:30 p.m. Thursday in RiverCenter’s Legacy Hall. The program will blend music from the 20th and 21st centuries with guest appearances by faculty vocalist Michelle DeBruyn, CSU Philharmonic Conductor Paul Hostetter and music education professor Sean Powell. April 21 - Movie Under the Stars: Food Inc.
Columbus State’s Coca-Cola Space Science Center hosts a screening of Food Inc., 7:30 p.m. Thursday outside the center at 701 Front Avenue. The 2008 documentary explores and asserts corporate agriculture’s negative impact on food consumption. The program is free and is one of several events planned as part of CSU’s Sustainability Week , which promotes health and wellness as well as environmental awareness in conjunction with Earth Day on April 22. The screening will move inside the center in case of rain. April 23 - Cody’s Run
Cody's Run, a set of 5K and 1-mile runs offered by Columbus State University, starts on main campus at 8 a.m. Saturday, April 23. The runs start near the Lumpkin Center and Student Recreation Center and finish at the campus clock tower. The 5K run is open to walkers and free face painting for children takes place before and after the 1-mile run. Registration fees after Friday, April 15 are $25; $20 for ages 14 and younger, as well as CSU faculty and staff; and $15 for CSU students. Through April 23 - Bo Bartlett’s ‘Paintings of Home’ Exhibition
The Columbus State Department of Art exhibition of Bo Bartlett's “Paintings of Home” exhibition is in its final week in the Corn Center's Illges Gallery. The work, to be dismantled after Saturday, April 23, depicts scenes of Bartlett’s Columbus childhood home. Gallery hours are noon-4 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, noon-8 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. A special guided tour is available by appointment from 2-4 p.m. Wednesday.

With the conclusion of the CSU exhibition, separate displays of Bartlett’s work will continue at the W.C. Bradley Co. Museum and the Turner and Jordan Galleries of Columbus Bank and Trust’s Uptown Center. The hours for both are weekdays from 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. The exhibits will be open on weekends and after hours for groups that have made appointments. For more information, call 706-507-8312.
