APRIL 2-10 - NCAA Baseball at CSU
The CSU baseball squad will host the following series of games at Ragsdale Field: • April 2-3 - North Georgia, 5 p.m. Friday and 1 & 4 p.m. Saturday
• April 7 - Albany State, 5 p.m.
• April 9-10 - Armstrong Atlantic State, 7 p.m. Friday and 2 & 5 p.m. Saturday

APRIL 6 - Guest Flute Recital by Angela Reus-Jones
CSU's Schwob School of Music will present a guest recital by flutist Angela Reus-Jones 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 6 in RiverCenter's Legacy Hall. A University of Georgia faculty member, Reus-Jones previously was principal flutist of the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra in Germany. Her CSU concert is free. Admission is free. APRIL 6-24 -Visiting Artists’ Exhibition to Illustrate Effects of Climate Change
Columbus State’s Department of Art will host a visiting artists’ exhibition illustrating the effects of climate change titled “Double Blind,” April 6-24 in the Corn Center for the Visual Arts’ Illges Gallery. The show is produced by Susannah Sayler and Edward Morris, both spring 2010 Visiting Artists in Residence at CSU and founders of the Canary Project, a Brooklyn-based studio of artists and contributing writers and scientists dedicated to documenting climate change and its effects in order to energize a commitment to solutions. Gallery hours are noon-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free. For more information, call 706-507-8300.

APRIL 6 - Gallery Talk, Opening Reception for Canary Project Artists
Columbus State’s Department of Art will host an opening reception and gallery talk 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday for the exhibition “Double Blind” in the Corn Center for the Visual Arts’ Illges Gallery. The exhibition, running April 6-24, features the work of Susannah Sayler and Edward Morris, founders of the Canary Project, a Brooklyn-based studio project to spread awareness about the effects of man-induced climate change. Both are visiting artists in residence at CSU and will give a 6 p.m. gallery talk about their project as part of the reception. Admission is free. APRIL 7 - Singer-Songwriter Corey Smith to Perform
Columbus State’s Office of Student Life and Development presents singer-songwriter Corey Smith, an independent recording artist, in concert 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 7 in Rivercenter’s Bill Heard Theatre. Ticket prices are $7 in advance $12 day of show for CSU students and $12 in advance $15 day of show for general admission. APRIL 8 - Guest Speaker to Discuss ‘Ireland: Land of Saints and Scholars’
Columbus State University’s Center for International Education will present “Ireland: Land of Saints and Scholars,” a lecture by visiting scholar Stephen Regan 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 8 in the Spencer Event Hall at CSU’s International House. Regan is head of department and chair of the board of studies in the Department of English Studies at Durham University in England. The program is free and open to the public. APRIL 8-11 - CSU to Stage Musical Comedy Crazy for You
Columbus State’s theatre department and the Schwob School of Music will stage Ken Ludwig’s musical comedy Crazy for You April 8-11 at CSU Theatre on the Park in downtown Columbus. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. The high energy production involves plot twists and dance numbers set to music by George and Ira Gershwin. Tickets are $20 general admission; $18 seniors, children, active military and CSU alumni; and free for CSU faculty and staff and students . APRIL 10 - Reptile Fest at Oxbow Meadows
Columbus State’s Oxbow Meadows Environmental Learning Center will host its annual Reptile Fest 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, April 10. Activities for all ages will include live reptile displays, a live reptile wagon, reptile games with prizes, reptile crafts, a 40-foot jump house and more. Guests also can register a pet from home in a “Hiss America Pageant” at noon and stay for an interactive “Reptile Encounters” presentation at 2 p.m. by CSU reptile specialist Jason Clark, star of Snakes'Kin, a series to debut April 12 on Animal Planet.
