AUG. 23 - Student ‘Foam Party’ at Clock Tower
At 8 p.m. Thursday, a giant foam pit erected with foam cannons at the campus clock tower provides the setting for CSU’s fourth annual “Foam Party” for CSU students. The event includes a disc jockey and laser light show, and is sponsored by the Student Activities Council. Call 706-568-2273 for more information.

AUG. 27-28 - Jim Blanchard Leadership Forum
The Leadership Institute of CSU’s Cunningham Center for Leadership Development, in partnership with Synovus Corp., will stage the Jim Blanchard Leadership Forum on Monday and Tuesday at the Columbus Convention and Trade Center. The event is themed “Leading Change” and will feature retired Chairman of the Board and Synovus CEO Jim Blanchard as the forum host. He will present guest speakers John Abizaid, retired U.S. Army general and former CENTCOM commander; Ken Blanchard, a leading author on leadership and chief spiritual officer for Ken Blanchard Companies; Phil Gramm, former U.S. senator and vice president for UBS Investment Bank; and Mark Rutland, president of Southeastern University.

The event opens 6:30 p.m. Monday with a reception, dinner and 8 p.m.. presentation by Abizaid. Tuesday’s schedule features Ken Blanchard , Gramm , Rutland and Jim Blanchard .

Cost for the forum is $249 per person and includes three meals. A guest of a registered attendee can be brought to the dinner on Monday evening for an additional $60. For more information or to register go to ccld.colstate.edu or call 706-568-5101.

AUG. 31 and SEPT. 2 - NCAA Soccer: Cougar Invitational
The CSU women’s soccer squad and three other teams will compete in the Express Oil Change Cougar Invitational Friday and Sunday at the CSU Soccer Complex. The schedule:

• Friday: Belmont Abbey vs. Tampa, 2:30 p.m.
• Friday: CSU vs. Tusculum, 5 p.m.
• Sunday: Tampa vs. Tusculum, 11 a.m.
• Sunday: CSU vs. Belmont Abbey, 1:30 p.m.

Daily admission prices are $5 for adults; $3 for students/kids ; and free for ages five and under and CSU students, faculty and staff with ID.
