DEC. 7 - Christmas Flavors From Around the World
The CSU Hispanic Association will host its second annual Christmas Flavors from
Around the World event from 6:30-8 p.m. Friday in the International House at 6 Clearview
Circle. Guests can sample cuisine from Mexico, Honduras, Colombia, Venezuela, Puerto
Rico, Germany, El Salvador and other nations and register for door prizes including
movie tickets and restaurant gift certificates. The event also will feature a performance
by the CSU Euphonium Tuba Choir. Admission is $5 at the door and in advance by contacting

Proceeds support the Muscogee County School District’s English as a Second Language
program.
DEC. 8 – Baseball Camp
CSU Athletics will host a baseball camp for ages 14-18 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday
at Ragsdale Field on the CSU campus. A team of coaches headed by CSU baseball head
coach Greg Appleton will provide pitching and hitting instruction. The cost is $80

DEC. 8 – NCAA Basketball Doubleheader to Culminate Toy Collection Drive
An NCAA basketball doubleheader in the Lumpkin Center on Saturday will feature the
CSU women’s squad playing Fort Valley State at 2 p.m., followed by the CSU men and
West Florida at 4 p.m. The games also will culminate the CSU Student Athlete Advisory
Committee’s Toys for Tots campaign. The committee is collecting toy donations from
drop locations at the Lumpkin Center, Howard Hall, Davidson Student Center the Schwob
Library. Game admission prices are $5 for adults, $3 for students/kids and free for
ages 5 and under and CSU students, faculty and staff with ID. For more information,

DEC. 9 – Second Sunday Series at Oxbow: ‘Holiday Decorations’
CSU’s Oxbow Meadows Environmental Learning Center will feature Natural Holiday Decorations
as its Second Sunday series program topic for Sunday, Dec. 9. The program begins at
2 p.m. and will include take-home tree decorations made from pine cones, acorns, feathers
and other natural sources. Admission is $2 per person and free for ages 3 and under.

DEC. 15 – Fall Graduation Ceremony
CSU will hold its fall 2007 graduation ceremony at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15 in the
Lumpkin Center. The featured speaker will be Patrick “Pat” Pittard, a member of the
University System of Georgia’s Board of Regents. The ceremony also will feature an
honorary degree presentation to Thomas Buck Jr., a senior member of the CSU Foundation
Board of Trustees. Seating for guests will begin at 8:30 a.m. and shuttles will be
available to transport guests from main campus parking lots. The CSU Bookstore will
have items available for purchase before the ceremony on the second floor lobby of

DEC. 17 – New Student Orientation
CSU will hold an orientation on Monday, Dec. 17 for all new students accepted to
the university for spring 2008. Check-in is at 8 a.m. in the Davidson Student Center.
The program will begin at 9 a.m., covering campus resources, organizations, academic
policies and procedures. Fees are $35 per student and $15 per guest. For more information,
