JAN. 3-10 -- NCAA Basketball Doubleheaders
Columbus State University is hosting four Peach Belt Conference women's and men's basketball doubleheaders between Saturday, Jan. 3 and Saturday, Jan. 10 in the Lumpkin Center :

• Saturday: Lander, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
• Monday: Georgia Southwestern, 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
• Wednesday: Clayton State, 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
• Saturday : Francis Marion, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

JAN. 5-11 -- Late Registration for Spring Courses

JAN. 9 -- Quarterly Sales Luncheon
Columbus State's Cunningham Sales Institute will host a Quarterly Sales Luncheon from 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9 in the Cunningham Center's Blanchard Hall. Jim Bowie, director of the Columbus Regional Technology Incubator, will present the program titled 'Persuasive Communication, Influencing with Integrity.' The program is designed for sales professionals at all levels, including sales managers. Cost is $39 per person with annual memberships available at $129. JAN. 10-11 -- Bird Walks at Oxbow Meadows
Columbus State's Oxbow Meadows Environmental Learning Center will host the first in a series of January-weekend 'Bird Walks' from 8-9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday at the center, 3535 South Lumpkin Road. Visiting ornithologist Andrea Lindsay will guide the walks along the center's trails. The cost is $4 per person, and the program is designed for adults and children ages 10 and older. JAN. 10 -- Researcher to Present Findings on Migratory Songbird
Visiting ornithologist Andrea Lindsay will present 'A Tale of Two Seasons: Do Winter Habitat Conditions Affect Reproductive Success in Yellow Warblers?' at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10 at Columbus State's Oxbow Meadows Environmental Learning Center, 3535 South Lumpkin Road, Columbus. Lindsay has studied the yellow warbler, North America's most abundant breeding wood-warbler, and will present her findings during the program. Admission is $5.
