SEPT. 14, 16 - NCAA Soccer: CSU Showcase
The CSU women’s soccer squad and three other teams will compete in the CSU Showcase Friday and Sunday at the CSU Soccer Complex. The schedule:

• Friday: West Georgia vs. Eckerd College at 5 p.m. and CSU vs. Lincoln Memorial University at 7:30 p.m.
• Sunday: West Georgia vs. Lincoln Memorial at 11 a.m. and CSU vs. Eckerd at 1:30 p.m.

Daily admission prices are $5 for adults; $3 for students/kids ; and free for ages 5 and under and CSU students, faculty and staff with ID.

SEPT. 15 - NCAA Cross Country: Cougar Invitational
The CSU men’s and women’s cross country squads will compete in the Cougar Invitational starting at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Evilsizer Track and Field Complex at Smiths Station High School. For more information, go to http://www.csucougars.com.

SEPT. 18-19 - Sales Development Conference at Cunningham Center
CSU’s Cunningham Sales Institute will hold its annual Sales Development Conference from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m.-noon Wednesday at the Cunningham Center for Leadership Development. Themed “Call to Action! Power Up for Sales Excellence,” the event will provide seven hours of professional development and networking. Keynote presenters are Brian Parsley, chief operating officer of the Jeffrey Gitomer Group in Charlotte, N.C.; Austin McGonigle, president of Atlanta-based Success Cycle, Inc.; and Luke Mansour, director of sales for Synovus. The trio will demonstrate how to create more effective sales organizations and yield higher sales, productivity and customer satisfaction.

Sept. 18-19 – Environmental Film Festival
Columbus State University’s Environmental Science program is teaming up with Chattahoochee RiverWatch to host Patagonia’s Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Festival. Thirteen films ranging in length from five minutes to nearly an hour will be shown from 6:30-9 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday nights in the Elizabeth Bradley Turner Center for Continuing Education. SEPT. 20 - CSU Wind Ensemble to Perform
Under the baton of Professor Robert Rumbelow, the CSU Wind Ensemble will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20 in RiverCenter’s Legacy Hall. SEPT. 22 – Visitation Day for Prospective Students
Columbus State University’s Recruitment Office will hold a visitation day for high school seniors and their parents from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22. The event will begin in the Lumpkin Center, and activities will include a tour of campus and opportunities to speak with meet current CSU students and professors.

SEPT. 22 – Astronomy Night
CSU’s Coca-Cola Space Science Center will stage an Astronomy Night program on Saturday, Sept. 22 at the center, at 701 Front Ave. in Columbus.
