NOV. 16 GEOGRAPHY AWARENESS PROGRAM: EXPERTS TO DISCUSS URBAN DEVELOPMENT
CSU will host a presentation, The Problems and Promise of a New Urbanist Development: the Case Study of Atlantic Station, from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Center for Commerce and Technology Room 205. The program, in conjunction with Geography Awareness Week, is free and open to the public.

The presentation will be given by Georgia State University professor Katherine Hankins and University of Georgia research fellow Emily Powers. Atlantic Station, in mid-town Atlanta, represents mixed-use developments that offer living, working and retail space an increasingly popular strategy for city planners. Sponsors are the Department of History and Geography, College of Arts and Letters, the D. Abbott Turner College of Business and the CSU Honors Program. NOV. 16-19 - CSU THEATRE TO STAGE MUSICAL COMEDY ONCE UPON A MATTRESS
CSUs Department of Theatre will stage the comedy Once Upon a Mattress Thursday through Sunday in the Fine Arts Hall auditorium. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $20 per adult and $16 per senior citizen, child, active military and CSU alumnus. NOV. 16 - CSU WIND ENSEMBLE TO PERFORM
CSUs Schwob School of Music will present the CSU Wind Ensemble in concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16 in the RiverCenters Legacy Hall. Professor Robert Rumbelow, conductor, and Alisha Wooley, graduate conductor, will lead the ensemble through works by Howard Hanson, Norman Dello Joio, Malcolm Arnold, Grainger, Bach and Alfred Reed. NOV. 17 - CSU WIND SYMPHONY CONCERT TO FEATURE GUEST CONDUCTORS
CSUs Schwob School of Music will present the annual Conductors Workshop concert by the CSU Wind Symphony at 7 p.m. Friday in the RiverCenters Legacy Hall. The performance will feature guest conductors Thomas Lee and Jerry F. Junkin, and CSU Professor and conductor Robert Rumbelow. NOV. 17-18 CSU TIP-OFF CLASSIC TO FEATURE PAIR OF WOMENS DOUBLEHEADERS
The CSU Tip-Off Classic will feature a pair of womens basketball doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday in the Lumpkin Center. The schedule is:

Georgia College and State vs. Judson at 5 p.m. Friday CSU vs. Tampa at 7 p.m. Friday Tampa vs. Georgia College and State at 2 p.m. Saturday CSU vs. Judson at 4 p.m. Saturday

NOV. 20 FREE RECITAL: CSU GUITAR AND FLUTE STUDIO
Students from the CSU Schwob School of Music flute and guitar studios will perform a free recital at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the RiverCenters Legacy Hall. The program will feature music from the Renaissance to contemporary. For more information, call 706-647-7287.

Nov. 22-24 - CSU TO CLOSE FOR THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY
CSU will be closed Wednesday through Friday, Nov. 22-24 for the Thanksgiving holiday. Operations will resume on Monday, Nov. 27.

NOV. 24 NCAA MENS BASKETBALL: CSU TO HOST WEST GEORGIA
Columbus State Universitys mens basketball squad will host the University of West Georgia in a non- conference game at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24 in the Lumpkin Center.
