CSU Rolls Out The Red Carpet For Homecoming Week Feb 21-26

Homecoming 2005 at Columbus State University opens Monday, Feb. 21 with a week of activities for students, faculty and staff, alumni and the general public. This years theme Roll Out The Red Carpet... Its Showtime! is integrated in the following events:

MONDAY
Student Banner Competition. Student organizations compete with bed-sheet size banners to be hung in the Lumpkin Center. Sponsored by Student Activities Council.
Staff and Faculty Door Decorating Competition. Departmental teams compete. Entries finished by 2 p.m. Judging 10 a.m. Tuesday. Sponsored by Staff Council.

TUESDAY
All Star Intramural Basketball Game. Includes a three-point shoot-out. 7 p.m. Woodruff Gym. Sponsored by Campus Recreation.

WEDNESDAY
Movie Screening: Dodgeball, 7 p.m. Davidson Center. Sponsored by Student Activities Council, Residence Life, Career Center.

THURSDAY
Student Dodgeball Tournament, 12:30 p.m. Health and Safety Center by Campus Recreation.
Homecoming Ball, 8 p.m. Rankin Quarter. Sponsored by Student Activities Council, Student Government, Student Life.

FRIDAY
Find The Cougar Competition, 6 p.m. Lumpkin Center Entrance. Sponsored by Student Life.
Pep Rally and Bonfire, 7 p.m. Lumpkin Center Parking Lot. Event to feature DJ Roonie G and DJ X-Treme, CSU cheerleader performances and appearance by Cougar basketball players. Sponsored by Athletics, Student Activities Council.

SATURDAY
Silver C activities at the Cunningham Center: 10 a.m. coffee, 10:30 a.m. brunch and tour of new Cunningham Center. Invitation only. Sponsored by Alumni Association.
Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. 11:30 a.m. Lumpkin Center. Invitation only. Sponsored by Alumni Association.
Tailgating. Noon. Lumpkin Center Parking Lot. Hospitality Tent will be operating and Cooks Hotdogs will sell scrambled dogs for $3, hotdogs for $1 and chili dogs for $1.50. Also, an Alumni Contest for student organization will take place . Sponsored by Alumni Association, Athletics, Student Activities Council, Student Life.
Alumni Old-Timers Basketball Game, 1:30 p.m. Lumpkin Center. Sponsored by Alumni Association.
Cougar Basketball. CSU vs. Armstrong Atlantic State, 4 p.m. women, 6 p.m. men. Homecoming Court presentation)sponsored by Student Life) at halftime of mens game.
