CSU Schwob School of Music Violinists Win First in GA Philharmonic Competition
December 3, 2018

Passacaglia Mason and Ana Gribkova, both violinists and students of CSU professor Segui Schwartz, won first place in the "Artisan" and "Virtuoso" division of the competition. Mason and Gribkova will perform as soloists in Bruch's "Scottish Fantasy" and Sibelius' "Violin Concerto" with the Georgia Philharmonic in Atlanta.
Named in honor of former concertmaster Sam Fordis, the annual Georgia Philharmonic's Samuel Fordis Young Artists Concerto Competition invites the next generation of great musicians to compete with their peers for an opportunity to solo with the orchestra during the first concert of every calendar year.
