CSU Students Stop Talking Trash, Start Recycling
April 21, 2015
COLUMBUS, GA --- Students for a Greener Cleaner CSU helped collect garbage and recyclables from Columbus State University to display at today’s One CSU Sustainability Fair, an interactive event showcasing the university’s and the community’s environmentally-friendly initiatives. The small dumpster in the front contains all of the recyclables collected from campus in 24 hours, which includes only a small bag of plastic and aluminum and a pile of cardboard. The much larger dumpster in the back includes all of the remaining trash.
Students from the group are hoping this visualization will get CSU students, faculty and staff to stop "talking trash" and start using the 76 recycling bins located on CSU's main and RiverPark campuses.
