CSU to Host Graduate Studies Open House

April 10, 2007

COLUMBUS, Ga.—Columbus State University will showcase its advanced degree programs in a “Graduate Studies Open House” on Saturday, April 14 in the Cunningham Center for Leadership Development.

This first-of-its-kind CSU event will open with registration and a continental breakfast from 10-10:30 a.m.

CSU President Frank Brown will welcome the gathering and Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs Terry Norris will give opening remarks. Following a presentation on financial aid, the gathering will break out for separate presentations covering master’s degree programs in business administration, education, music, public administration, science and community counseling.

The open house will conclude with an opportunity for a main-campus tour.

The CSU graduate programs cover 31 different areas of study, preparing students for doctoral programs and-or advanced-level careers with escalating earnings potential.

A 2002 U.S. Census Bureau study shows the average lifetime earnings for a college graduate with a master’s degree as $2.5 million, compared to $2.1 million with a bachelor’s degree and $1.2 million with a high school diploma.
