CSU Violinist Accepted to International Music Festival

Sophie Wang, a violinist in Columbus State University’s Schwob School of Music, was accepted to this summer’s Sarasota Music Festival in Florida, where she will spend three weeks studying and performing with internationally renowned faculty artists and concert orchestra masters. Only 18 violinists were selected from around the world to participate in this year’s festival. Wang is a student of CSU Professor of Violin and String Area Coordinator Sergiu Schwartz, the William B. and Sue Marie Turner Distinguished Faculty Chair in Music and recipient of the 2013 CSU/USG Regents' Teaching Excellence Award.
