CSU’s Fourqurean Earns Phi Kappa Phi Fellowship

FourqureanCOLUMBUS, Ga.– Ford J. Fourqurean, Columbus State’s 2013-2014 Faculty Cup recipient as the university’s top student, has been selected a Marcus L. Urann Fellow, a distinctive honor from the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi that comes with a $15,000 prize.
Fourqurean, a Fayetteville, Ga., native, graduated this month from the Schwob School of Music. The clarinet major has been an active participant in CSU’s Honors College, with research and performance interests taking him to Belgium, Japan and Canada's Domaine Forget music festival. He has presented his scholarly work at several conferences, the most recent being the Southern Regional Honors Conference in Savannah. He also received the Phi Kappa Phi Senior award from the CSU chapter of the organization.
