More Than 300 Expected at Fall Graduation on Jan. 10

December 28, 2003

More than 300 graduates are expected to participate in commencement ceremonies on Jan. 10 at 10 a.m., the official culmination of the fall 2003 semester.

The graduation ceremony will be in the Frank G. Lumpkin Jr. Center on campus and can be viewed on the Web.

Check the CSU graduation Web site at http://graduation.colstate.edu

The commencement address will be delivered by James H. Blanchard, CEO of Synovus Financial Corp., the parent company of TSYS and CB&T banks. Georgia Trend in January 2003 named Blanchard the 2003 Georgian of the Year. The university also will award Blanchard with an honorary doctorate from CSU.

Joseph Golden, professor of organ in CSUs Schwob School of Music, will provide music for the ceremony.

Because of the size of the ceremony, candidates for graduation will be allotted 10 tickets each. Guests with tickets will be admitted for seating at 8:30 a.m. Those without tickets will be admitted at 9:45 a.m. as long as there is space available in the center.

Shuttles will be available to transport guests from parking lots throughout campus.
